Exhibitors have begun putting up their booths for the Star Property Fair 2012 in Penang which begins tomorrow.
It was a hive of activity at Level 2 of G Hotel yesterday where contractors and workers were busy putting up the booths as well as banners and posters.
Spotted among the exhibits were highly detailed scale models of property projects which will go on sale at the four-day fair.
Besides G Hotel, the adjoining Gurney Plaza’s new wing is also the venue for the fair but the booths there are only expected to be set up tonight.
Touted as Malaysia’s premier showcase for stylish living, the fair this year will see the participation of 50 major industry players, including financial institutions and investment companies.
Among them are IJM Land, SP Setia Group, Mah Sing Properties, Sunway Berhad, Ivory Properties Group, DNP Land, BSG Property, Ideal Group, Bukit Kiara Properties, Andaman Property, Henry Butcher, KPWG International, Magna Putih, Province Valley and Tambun Indah Land.
This year’s new faces include Elite Forward, Sunrise Manner, Solid Tribute (Asia Green Group), GSD Land, Quantum Metro Development, Zetapark Development, East West One Consortium, PJD Eastern Land, Airmas Management, Property Talk, Avenue Properties and Popular Realty.
From apartments, condominiums, bungalows as well as commercial and retail units to sky villas, property hunters are expected to be spoilt for choice.
Besides being able to find out about upcoming projects and existing ones, visitors will get the chance to look for home financing packages.
There will also be talks on various topics at G Hotel.
Sunday Star’s columnist for Ancient Secrets and author of the Vasthu Sastra Guide T. Selva will be guiding visitors on how to choose auspicious properties at his talks on Saturday at 3.30pm and on Sunday at 2pm at G Hotel. Early birds will receive free micro pyramids.
Other talks include those on restored heritage buildings in George Town, financial options, tax effective investments and how to avoid legal complications.
That’s not all as good news awaits contest buffs. Twelve Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 will be among the RM30,000 worth of prizes that will be up for grabs in the IJM-The Star Property Fair contest.
There will be 15 daily prizes of three Samsung Galaxy Tabs, two RM400 Harvey Norman vouchers and 10 RM100 Sunshine Square vouchers.
IJM Land is the official sponsor for the contest while Hong Leong Bank is the sponsor for the talks.
The fair, organised by The Star for the 10th year, will be open to the public from 10am to 10pm daily over the four days. Admission is free. – The Star
