PR1MA project at Kampung Kastam, Bukit Gelugor, Penang is the first affordable housing project in Penang initiated by federal government.
This upcoming mixed development project under the scheme of Perumahan Rakyat 1Malaysia or PR1MA will have several high-rise units complete with amenities ranging from a day-care centre, open spaces, easy access for public transport and a commercial component.
The units are expected to be tagged lower than the market price of similar properties in Penang. There would be no quota for Bumiputera buyers as the proposed units were being offered at below market price.
The project is now opened for application to individuals or families (husband and wife) with an average monthly household income of between RM2,500 to RM7,500. The applicant must not own more than one property.
